February brought the return of the fifth annual Chinese New Year Temple Bazaar, which kicked off with a New Year’s dragon parade down Main Street to Flushing Town Hall, followed by an event featuring performances for all ages, art making, lantern making, flower decoration, and food to celebrate the Year of the Pig.
Welcome to Cultural Crossroads, the new blog for the Flushing Town Hall community.
We often how so much good news to share, but not enough room! So we thought we’d provide a new platform that allows us to share the views of our performers, shed a spotlight on our volunteers, staff, visitors – the people who make us the vibrant institution that we are.
We hope you enjoy this blog. You’ll see posts crafted by Shawn, Jeff, Rachel, Ellen, Sami, Gabrielle, and a number of others along the way.
We value your opinion, so please let us know what you’d like to see, too.
We plan to keep providing global arts for our global community. And we are glad you are spending time exploring our site. And, when you visit us, please make sure to say “hello!”
