Flushing Town Hall is celebrating the spirit of the season with its third annual Winter Holiday Market and participation in the annual Holiday Historic House tour visiting popular sites in Flushing on Sunday, December 11.
The Holiday Market, featuring everything from original artwork to jewelry to clothing, will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM in Flushing Town Hall’s first-floor Gallery at 137-35 Northern Boulevard. Admission is free, and beverages and snacks will be available.
Among several dozen participating artists and craftspeople are: Trudy Fritschi (greeting cards); Dore Poris and children of the Phyllis Susser School (handmade necklaces and bracelets); Carole Soler (mixed media art and jewelry); Marcela Carvalho (handbags, clothing, and paintings); Geraldine Benfante (original artwork and greeting cards); and, Phyllis Ger (jewelry); Eileen Condon (crocheted clothing, toys, and ornaments); Crystal Deosaran (Mexican artisan products for babies and children); Nancy Valentine (jewelry); Juliette Walker (handmade dolls); Chandra Malhotra (Indian delicacies); and, Judy Love (floral arrangements). The Holiday Market coincides with the 29th annual Holiday Historic House Tour, featuring seven historic Queens sites, including Flushing Town Hall. The Historic House Tour – from 1:00 to 5:00 PM – is run by the Queens Historical Society. Tickets can be purchased here or at www.queenshistoricalsociety.org or by calling 718-939-0647. Each spot in the venue will serve refreshments or provide a special activity.
