A Singular Symphony

Flushing Town Hall experienced a one-of-a-kind performance on Sunday, May 1. Skip Laplante performed A Symphony of Chimes with 130 chimes comprised of thousands of pieces. The beautiful presentation was made possible thanks to Exploring the Metropolis (EtM) and its Con Edison Composers Residency Program, which provides funding so that a selected group of performers can perfect their craft (and Flushing Town Hall is one destination that partners with EtM to provide the training space.)

In these two videos, Flushing Town Hall Executive and Artistic Director Ellen Kodadek welcomes the crowd, and we show you a few of the sights and sounds of the performance.
