Flushing Town Hall Statement on IDNYC Announcement

Screen Shot 2015-07-27 at 12.18.28 PMEllen Kodadek, the Executive and Artistic Director of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (Flushing Town Hall), issued the following statement today in response to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s update on the success of the City’s municipal identification program:

“The Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts has been proud to be among the first group of cultural institutions to take part in the City’s IDNYC program. Providing New Yorkers with an opportunity to experience all that our city’s fine cultural institutions have to offer has proven to be an attractive benefit, one that we believe is bringing more patrons through the door every day across the city. Today’s announcement speaks to a robust volume of interest not only in participating in the municipal identification program, but to New Yorkers’ interest in exploring – and enjoying – more theatre, art, performance, and all of the cultural amenities available in our city. At Flushing Town Hall, we have embraced a number of new patrons who have come through the door as part of this program, and we look forward to many more.”
